With over 25 years of experience in U.S.-Mexico development organizations, Donald J. Hobbs is the General Counsel of the NADBank and is responsible for advising Management and the Board of Directors on legal and policy matters related to NADBank operations. He previously served as Deputy General Counsel of NADBank and as General Counsel of the Border Environment Cooperation Commission, which merged with NADBank in 2017.
Prior to his involvement with binational infrastructure development, Mr. Hobbs worked for the Environmental Law Institute in Washington D.C., where he managed legal and policy projects within the Institute’s Inter-American Program, mainly in Mexico and Central America. In Guadalajara, Mexico, he worked for Ochoa Torres y Asociados, a local law firm specializing in corporate, tax and foreign investment matters.
Mr. Hobbs graduated from the Universidad Panamericana Law School in Guadalajara, Mexico and received an LL.M in International Legal Studies from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington D.C.
