$3M grant agreement signed for water project in Presidio, Texas

The North American Development Bank (NADB) and the City of Presidio, Texas, signed a $3 million grant agreement. The grant is being provided through NADB’s Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF), which is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and will go toward improvements to the city’s drinking water system.

Phase I of Comprehensive Wastewater System Study completed in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas

The North American Development Bank (NADB) announced the conclusion of the first phase of a study for the rehabilitation of the wastewater collection system in the Arroyo del Coyote basin and the initiation of the second phase, which covers the entire wastewater system in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. The study is being funded by the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Project Development Assistance Program (PDAP) and administered by NADB. The program provided US$120,000 for Phase I and is providing an additional US$95,000 for Phase II.

US$11.2-million loan contracted to rehabilitate and upgrade wastewater treatments plants in Chihuahua, Chihuahua

The North American Development Bank (NADB) and Aguas de Reúso y Energía Renovable, S.A. de C.V., (ARERSA) signed a loan agreement for up to $233.4 million pesos (equivalent to about US$11.2 million), to cover part of the financing for the rehabilitation and upgrade of the North and South Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) in Chihuahua, Chihuahua.

The North American Development Bank (NADB), Banco Santander, S.A., Banco Mercantil del Norte, S.A. (Banorte), as lenders, with the participation of EKF Danmarks Eksportkredit (EKF), as guarantor, have signed a loan agreement for the design, construction and operation of the 117-megawatts (MW) wind farm “Delaro, S.A.P.I. de C.V.”, located in the municipality of Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The project is sponsored by Fideicomiso Thermion Energy CKD I.
