Sewer system completed in El Paso Lower Valley

Socorro, Texas. – Residents of the Cotton Valley neighborhood in Socorro, Texas now have sewer service thanks to a wastewater project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through the Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF), which is administered by the North American Development Bank (NADB). This morning, community members joined U.S. Representative Texas District 23 Will Hurd, Texas State Senator Jose Rodriguez, North American Development Bank (NADB) Managing Director Alex Hinojosa, EPA Region 6 Water Division Deputy Director David Garcia and Lower Valley Water District (LVWD) officials to celebrate the completion of a wastewater collection system that is providing first-time service to more than 200 residents of this Lower Valley community.

Ground broken on wastewater infrastructure project in Marathon, Texas

Marathon, Texas. – U.S. Representative Will Hurd (TX 23) and North American Development Bank (NADB) Managing Director Alex Hinojosa joined Marathon Water Supply and Sewer Service Corporation staff and community members to kick off a US$1.55 million project that will replace aging infrastructure and extend the wastewater system to two unserved areas in Marathon, Texas, a small community approximately 230 miles east of El Paso.

New landfill equipment delivered in Ahumada, Chihuahua

Ahumada, Chihuahua – New equipment was delivered today for the optimal operation of the municipal landfill in Ahumada, Chihuahua, which is located about 75 miles south of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. The equipment was financed with a US$300,000 grant from the North American Development Bank through its Community Assistance Program (CAP).

North American Development Bank to issue green bond in the Swiss franc market for the equivalent of US$126.4 million

San Antonio, Texas - The North American Development Bank (NADB) has completed pricing of a CHF 125 million (US$126.4 million equivalent) green bond issuance, managed by Credit Suisse. The closing date is scheduled for July 24th . The bond will mature in July 2026 and pay a coupon rate of 0.3000%. Through a swap operation to US dollars, it will result in a rate of LIBOR 3 months plus 42.20 basis points.

Douglas, Arizona – Today, the City of Douglas, Arizona, along with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), North American Development Bank (NADB) and their partners, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will permit access to first-time wastewater services in an unserved area of town, eliminate exposure to untreated wastewater discharges and reduce water pollution and the risk of waterborne disease.
