The purpose of the Project is to increase the installed capacity of solar and energy storage, which will reduce future demand on fossil fuel-based energy production and allow the system operator to manage the grid more efficiently and reduce the use of ramp-up/ramp-down fossil-fuel power generating plants. The Project will displace harmful emissions, as well as assure the optimum use of electricity from renewable energy sources integrated in the grid.
